If you've read my previous post on diets, you'll know what I think about 'dieting'.
But anyway, this could be a very useful trick for helping to control appetite. Thinking a meal you've just eaten contains a lot of calories can help reduce the level of the appetite stimulating hormone ghrelin. This is worth trying if you're fighting to control your weight.
